AC-130 USA 2

The Lockheed AC-130 gunship was a modified version of the C-130 transport specifically adapted for close ground support.

All of the firepower and most of the sensors are on the left side of the aircraft so the usual attack procedure was to fly a circular path around the target keeping all weapons trained on the target and firing as needed.

The second series AC-130A (Surprise Package) had a Stabilised Tracking Set, FLIR camera, fire control radar and searchlight and were armed with 2 x 7.62mm miniguns, 2 x 20mm cannon and 2 x 40mm cannon.
