Description
The North American T-6 Texan was a training aircraft that saw universal service with almost every air force in the world. 60 countries operated the T-6 under the name Texan or Harvard, with many versions made.
The Texan first flew in 1935 and many of the 15,000 built survive today on the air-show circuit. There were 40 different designations for the Texan, but not that many different versions.
The Texan was a Trainer, but there were armed versions made, some with guns in the wings, others with gun pods and bomb racks. Up to 3 x 7.62mm machine guns was the usual provision.
This example is an AT-6 of the Argentine Navy 1950.
