Eagle USA 493rd Fighter Squadron 1

The McDonnell-Douglas (Boeing) F-15 Eagle entered service in 1979. It is a large Air Superiority Fighter designed to replace the F-4 Phantom.  The Strike Eagle ‘E’ version entered service in 1985.

 The Eagle is in service with the USAF, Israeli Air Force, the Japanese Self Defence Force, and the Royal Saudi Air Force.

The F-15C is armed with 1 x 20mm Vulcan cannon, and 4 x AIM-7 Sparrow or AIM-120 medium-range missiles, and 4 x AIM-9 Sidewinder short-range missiles.  The Strike Eagle has multiple bomb racks.
