The Hawker Hurricane entered service in 1937, and was a front line fighter during the Battle of Britain in 1940.  It went on to serve all over the world and was improved and adapted for various roles throughout the war.

The Hurricane Mk I was armed with 8 x 7.7mm machine guns.  The Hurricane Mk IIB was armed with 12 x 7.7mm machine guns.

The Mark IIC was armed with 4 x 20mm cannon.  The Mark IID was armed with 2 x 40mm cannon in underwing pods.

This example is a Hurricane Mk I of 245 Squadron RAF 1940.

My favorite WW2 plane. The BACKBONE of the RAF. Spitfire got all the glory, The Hurricane was the Real Stud. Could you do Geoffrey Page's US-X "Little Willie" someday? Your work is excellent!
