Description

The MiG-19 was a twin-engined supersonic fighter by the Soviet Mikoyan-Gurevich bureau. Production started in 1955 and it was used in combat in the Six Day War in 1967, and the Bangladesh War in 1971, as well as the Vietnam War.

The MiG-19 was armed with 3 x 23 mm cannon.
The MiG-19S was armed with 3 x 30 mm cannon. It could also carry 2 x 250 Kg bombs on under-wing hard points.
There were many other variants, including radar-equipped, missile-armed, and reconnaissance versions.

The MiG-19 was exported to many pro-Soviet countries, and also licence-built by China, Czechoslovakia, and Poland.

The Shenyang J-6 was the Chinese version built under licence.
The Avia S-105 was the Czech version built under licence.
The Lim-7 was the Polish version built under licence.

This example is an Avia S-105 of the Czechoslovak Air Force 1960.

True that machine was done in license in Czech factories, nevertheless the state was still at the time named Czechoslovakia. We separated only in 1991 :)
