Su-30 Algeria 1

The Sukhoi Su-30 'Flanker' is an improved version of the Su-27 air superiority fighter. Extra hardpoints were added to bring the total to 12 and all aspects of the engines and avionics were modernised.  It entered full service in 1996.

Various versions are in service some having canard wings and thrust vectoring with around ten air forces from Algeria to Vietnam.

The Su-30 is armed with 1 x 30mm cannon and up to 6 x R-27 medium-range missiles and 6 x R-73 short-range missiles as well Kh-31 ‘Krypton’ etc.
