Description
The North American T-28 Trojan was a ground-attack and trainer aircraft that was widely used for many decades by air forces all over the world.
The Trojan first flew in 1949 and was a replacement for the T-6 Texan. The T-28A was the first version and widely used by the USAF, while the more powerful ‘B’ and ‘C’ models were used by the US Navy.
The Trojan was a primary trainer but there were armed versions made (T-28D and T-28S) with rails for rockets, bombs, and gun pods.
This example is an T-28S of EALA 3/05 Armée de l'Air 1961.
