Description

The de Havilland Tiger Moth entered service in 1932 and remained the Primary Trainer for the RAF until 1952.

The Tiger Moth was made under licence in many countries and used by over 35 air forces around the world.

8,868 Tiger Moths and Queen Bees were made in total, and when it was retired from military use many surplus aircraft were bought privately and about 250 are still flying today.

This example is a Tiger Moth DH.82 of No 22 Elementary Flying School RAF 1941.
